I appreciated how thorough and intentional you were during our session as well as how personal you were. I am so excited to update and enhance my wardrobe after our meeting. I already bought some fun new things… Can’t wait to wear them with confidence knowing these are colors that will look amazing on me.

Mary, Kentucky, USA

[My friend] wants to have her colors done! …She was so impressed with my results. She said “You have always looked good, Mary, but now you really stand out!”

Jolene, Alberta, Canada

I enjoyed my time so much and thank you for your kind manner!  I would highly recommend your service to anyone

If you are restless in your desire to know the colors that make up you and complement you best, spend half a day on yourself in a personal color analysis. If you yearn for confidence when selecting clothing, cosmetics, or hair color, let this professional color analyst guide you and arm you with the tools you’re missing . If you want to feel more beautiful or handsome, learn how to bring that beauty out; cast only positive effects on your unique face with colors that harmonize and complement you supremely.

What to Expect at Your Personal Color Analysis

When you arrive for your color analysis we’ll spend a little time talking about what your chief challenges or desires are for the analysis. What is it you want to discover or solve?  I’ll then cover your hair with a neutral-colored scarf—especially if you dye your tresses—and place a smock of the same neutral color over your clothes. Then the personal color analysis will begin.

The Sci-ART personal color analysis process I use is a very methodical system of draping a series of colored fabrics on you, next to your makeup-free face. I’ll be constantly comparing effects, to see clearly which are more positive. The Sci-ART method is based on the science of color and human vision. The 12 seasonal color groupings in our system were created from Albert Munsell’s 3-dimensional system that classifies colors by hue, value, and chroma —the three components of how we perceive color. My training involved several days spent one-on-one in Prince Edward Island with a master and author, Christine Scaman. You can learn more about her at 12Blueprints - Wear The Colours That You Are!

The draping typically takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours. When it’s complete we’ll talk about your colors: how to recognize, wear, and shop for them. I’ll give you a printed guide to your colors, which will take you further in your journey of self discovery. I’ll also give you a color palette, and I’ll show you how to use it when you review your current wardrobe and shop for new items. If you desire, we can spend additional time talking about choosing makeup—with opportunities to try some on in your colors.

The Be You Personal Color Analysis studio is a separate, private, neutrally colored room in the upstairs of my 1911-era home in the quaint Monteith Historic District of Albany, OR. It’s not far from I-5, OR Hwy 99W, and OR Hwy 20. When you book your appointment I’ll send you more information about what to expect and how to prepare for the appointment.

As you try on clothes I’ll help you judge them critically for their ability to bring out the best in you. This is most effective after you’ve had at least a few days to process all you learned at your personal color analysis session.

What my Clients Say

Jane, Kentucky, USA

Shopping is so much easier when knowing my colors! This is truly time and money saving, plus adds joy--less frustration from having things that don't work, yet you aren't sure quite why.

Bobbielee, Oregon, USA

I appreciated Anne's professional style. She was so welcoming and graceful. She was excited to take me through my color exploration. My wardrobe was heavily a black and white combo that I enjoyed. Then, I experienced my own realization of now a new reveal with color. It was so me! It happened. I actually saw it before my eyes. I felt great. My energy is going to change as I evolve into my own personal color palette adventure!

Jen, Oregon, USA

I jumped in with both feet. I stopped at a secondhand store on my way home to try my palette. I bought a nice blue sweater that has earned me tons of compliments every time I wear it!

Roxanne, Oregon, USA

I was able to get rid of about 1/3 of my stuff. In doing so, I found that the items I put in the donation bag were items I didn't wear much because I was not comfortable in them, mainly due to color!…

I  appreciate your knowledge and sharing it with me. It was very worthwhile and I certainly like investing in myself! You are a miracle worker. Thank you so much.

Alison, Alaska, USA

My color analysis appointment with Anne was an incredible experience. She used a methodical color draping process that made comparisons to slowly narrow down my unique color season and the best hues to harmonize with my skin tone. It was interesting to see the effect of different colors against my skin, with some being better than others and patterns starting to emerge. Every once in a while, we found standouts that were star colors for me.

Anne has a talent for putting into words the subtle effects of the different colors. This allowed me to start noticing the important details too. She would point out how certain shadows on the face would soften or deepen, the contrast levels within my features, a healthy cast over my skin, and how a color harmonizes with the face.

My favorite part of the appointment was when we experimented with different color combinations after narrowing down my season. Anne was very smart to recommend taking a few pictures of these combos to reference later. She went above and beyond to give me advice on what I could use as my wardrobe “neutrals” or foundational colors. She even took extra time to sample makeup shades and really complete the picture.

The whole time I felt I was in great hands. Anne is incredibly professional, attentive and fun!

I can’t recommend the color analysis enough, it’s fulfilling to spend a few hours on yourself, especially with someone like Anne, who clearly cares about and wholeheartedly enjoys what she’s doing!
