What is Personal Color Analysis?
Each of us has within our face our own distinct coloring. Our skin and eyes all contribute to a wonderfully unique color package. Our hair adds another layer. Using the Sci-ART method, I’ll help you discover the colors within you. You’ll leave your session knowing the best colors to wear on the outside, to set off your inherent colors to their fullest, and to look true to yourself.
If you play around with colors much in interior or graphic design, you’ll know that the colors we put side by side greatly affect each other. A color that appears as a clear, soft pink on a white background, for example, will be muted—more greyed or brownish—if it’s placed on a sage green background. What we wear in our clothing, eyeglasses, hats, hair dye, and makeup likewise have an affect on our natural colors. They can harmonize with and complement our skin, hair, and eyes, or they can provide a negative effect: they can make us look older, pale and sickly, slightly green, or bland, for example. The lack of harmony with our own color may be off-putting to others, but they may not be aware of why they are having negative feelings toward us. The unconscious negative reactions can affect us in our work as well as our personal life.
You may be aware that certain colors don’t look great on you, but you may not know why. When I perform your personal color analysis you’ll be one step further in your life’s self-discovery journey. You’ll know the colors that are in you, and you’ll learn which of the 12 color families (or seasons) set off your colors the best, to make you feel your most confident and beautiful, or handsome, self.
The Benefits of Having a Personal Color Analysis
If knowing yourself better isn’t reason enough to have a personal color analysis, here are more benefits:
Feel your best. When you are wearing the colors that complement you the best, you’ll feel the difference. You may feel more beautiful or handsome, vibrant, fresh, energized, and happy. You’ll feel more confident. You’ll feel comfortable in your own skin. You’ll be buoyed by the positive response you’ll get from strangers, coworkers, and loved ones, who will unconsciously react to the positive effects of a more healthy-, harmonious-, and joyful-looking you.
Shop with confidence. You’ll leave your Be You Personal Color Analysis session armed with a color palette to take shopping with you. You’ll have the new knowledge to confidently zero in on the clothing and accessories that are right for you. You’ll no longer be overwhelmed by all the choices in brick-and-mortar or online stores; instead, everything but your best colors will fade into the background for you.
Save money. Knowing your own colors and those that harmonize best with you means you’ll spend less on clothing and makeup that end up unworn in your closets and cupboards. Whether you are able to try on an item in front of a well-lit mirror or not, you’ll have the tools and knowledge to predict much better if you’ll continue to like the item once you start wearing it. Fit, comfort, and style will still be important considerations when shopping, but you will reduce that large effect of spending money on colors you don’t feel terrific in. You’ll make purchases of clothing, eyeglasses, sunglasses, neckties, makeup, jewelry, hats, and scarves with new confidence and knowledge to avoid wasting your money.
Open a new world of color for you. During your personal color analysis you’ll be draped in dozens of hues; as I hone in on your best set of colors you’ll start to feel excited as you see how stunning you look in colors you have never tried before. As part of the analysis, I’ll give you a palette of dozens of colors that will all look beautiful on you. You’ll be dazzled by the array of colors out there, waiting for you to explore and try on with your new confidence, enthusiasm, and curiosity.
Give a first impression that lets you shine. When you’re wearing the colors that complement who you are, others will get a clear impression of the true you. They won’t be instantaneously put off by the jarring sensations that come from someone whose wardrobe, makeup, or hair conflicts with her or his natural colors. They won’t be subconsciously affected by a face set off by colors that make it look unapproachable, weak, severe, ill, tired, somber, artificially aged, bland, or sad. Whether you are seeking to make a positive connection in a potential friend, client, lover, colleague, student, ally, voter, or employer, make sure the true you is shining forth in your most attractive way.
